Commercial Property Showcase

The Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the 5th annual Ferndale Commercial Property Showcase presented by Level One Bank on Thursday, September 22, 2011 to showcase the available commercial property in Ferndale and promote Ferndale as a thriving, revitalized, centrally-located community in which to grow a business.

This after-hours “Deals & Drinks” event in partnership with MLive.com/Detroit attracted tenants or buyers looking for property, commercial real estate brokers, investors, and others curious to see Ferndale’s revitalization. Visitors were handed full-color programs with full-page highlight sheets of available properties ranging from retail to office to industrial. The cocktail reception took place in the newly opened, very cool Valentine Vodka Lounge & Micro-distillery.

Prior to the reception, we featured a workshop which provided tips on how to market functionally difficult properties and what Brokers and Property Owners can do to prepare their properties for the market to overcome objections before they start as well as, incentive and financing options available to assist with redevelopment. Speakers included Tom Wackerman, a Brownfield Redevelopment specialist from ASTI Environmental, and Marueen Krauss, former Director of Economic Development & Community Affairs at Oakland County.
