Annual Awards & Recognition Gala
Each year in November the Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the Chamber Awards & Recognition Gala to pay tribute to our outstanding Members. In 2012, the Ferndale Area Chamber Annual Awards & Recognition Gala was presented by Garden Fresh Gourmet and took place on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Shriners Silver Garden Events Center in Southfield. The Shriners Silver Garden’s incredible stained glass windows offered an amazing backdrop for this elegant event.
The Gala celebrated our growth in 2012 and our new partnership with the City of Oak Park. It featured an elegant cocktail reception with plentiful strolling hors d’oeuvres, a great Silent Auction and amazing entertainment. The evening kicked off at 6:00 pm and concluded around 9:00 pm. Many generous members and other local businesses donated some incredible items on which to bid including theater tickets, gift certificates to many fine restaurants, beautiful jewelry, artwork, and so much more!
In addition, we presented nine different awards to deserving members who go above and beyond in their business and giving back to the community. The winners are listed below.

The Annual Awards & Recognition Gala also serves as one of the Ferndale Area Chamber’s largest fundraising activities annually. Membership dues alone do not fully cover the Chamber’s operating expenses. As a 501c6 non-profit organization, your donation to the Chamber is not tax deductible as a charitable contribution but it goes towards a meaningful & committed organization. Contributions help us pay our staff, maintain our website and office equipment, support our networking and educational programs, help us promote growth in the Ferndale area, help offset our event costs, and most importantly, help us continue our work of supporting and promoting the amazing work of all our business members.
