Ferndale First: Keeping Your Business First!
The City of Ferndale, The Ferndale Chamber of
Commerce and the Ferndale DDA are pleased to
announce the launching of the Ferndale First
Business Consultation Program. Details of this free
consultation program valued at over $1,500 will be
unveiled at this informational breakfast. The
breakfast is complimentary to Ferndale businesses
and Ferndale Chamber members and will include
networking, more details of the business
consultation program and an opportunity to register
your business for one of the consultations. To

The BA5
Networking
series
continues with a special event welcoming new
Executive Director, Jennifer Roosenberg. This is a
great opportunity to meet the new Executive Director
and several of the Chamber's Ambassadors and Board
members. The event is from 5:30-7:30 pm at Anita's
Kitchen, 22651 Woodward, Ferndale. Cost to attend is $5 for members and $10 for
non-members. Bring at least
two non-perishable food items or at least 10 diapers
of any size and receive $5 off admission.
April 29:
Oakland Chamber
Network Business Card Exchange. Join fellow
business leaders from 29 other Oakland County
Chambers for quality networking, hors d'oeuvres and
a cash bar. Hosted by the West Bloomfield and Jewish
Chambers of Commerce, this event will take place at
the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit
at 6600 W. Maple Road, West Bloomfield from 5-7 pm.
$10 if you register by April 24 or $15 at the door.

Go Comedy! All-star Showdown for Kids at 7:30
pm.
While thousands of Oakland County children's lack of
adequate school supplies is no laughing matter, the
good folks at Go Comedy! will be serving up
silliness at a benefit for Operation: Kid Equip,
a program that provides free school supply kits to
low-income students in local schools. Go Comedy! is
located at 261 E. Nine Mile, Ferndale. Tickets are

State of The City Address:
The Ferndale Chamber of
Commerce is please to present Mayor Craig Covey's
2009 State of the City Address. This year's address
will take place at 7:00 pm preceded by a Business
Supporter
Reception and Dinner at 5:00 pm. The exquisite dinner
reception will
provide an opportunity to network and to meet with
Mayor Covey and other community leaders personally.
Entertainment will be provided by Ferndale High
School and attendees of the dinner will also have a chance to
present questions to the Mayor. Location: Via Nove,
344 W. Nine Mile. At
7:00 pm, doors will open to the public. Tickets for
the dinner/reception are $35 or $300 for a table of
ten. Admission for those arriving at 7:00 pm is

Dream Cruise Challenge - we're searching for blood
along the Woodward artery. Our annual blood
drive will take place at the Ferndale Public Library located at
642 E. Nine Mile, Ferndale from 1:00-7:00 pm. This
year the Royal Oak, Berkley and Birmingham/Bloomfield
chambers have come on board to challenge us during
Dream Cruise week to see which Chamber can round up
the most blood donors. We need your support to help
us win, but more importantly the American Red Cross

LEED-certified building, at 290 W. Nine Mile,
